This Balaclava is very nice. It's made of soft fleece, but it's a heavy-feeling fleece, so should help protect from the wind. I like that it has a drawstring around the hood so you can cinch it tight if you want to. The front is nice and long for protecting the neck. Inside is a fleece flap that you can flip up to cover more of your face and mouth, or leave it down and out of the way if you want to. And the whole thing is nice and big, for my big head! I would definitely recommend this over many of the others I've seen and tried. The Amazon auction page shows what it looks like on, from the front, so I've included a side view so you can see the length of the collar and the overall size of it.
