These fold down into almost nothing, and nail clippers aren't exactly bulky to start- made very well though and cut great. Made me jump using them the first time because you have to open them up and there is a bit of pressure (similar to a tense spring) that makes them kind of *pop* open as you're unfolding them, like a collapsible hamper. I really like these and I'm glad I bought them- I recommend!
