I actually use these in the back of my pants instead of a belt. I hook one end on a belt look, go through the middle one, and hook the other side to the next belt loop. It's nice because they have an adjustment feature so I can make them whatever length I need. It holds up my pants without a bulky belt around my waist. The clips grip very well.
