Does a good job at adding some extra layers on you to help keep you warm. Thin enough not to get in the way of anything else. I live in New England and it's starting to get real cold up here so this is really handy for me to have even when I am taking the kids to school. I usually have my hair up in bun and this doesn't accommodate that very well, but other than that I really like it.
