This set includes 36 watercolors that cover the spectrum of the rainbow plus white, brown, and black, 11 paintbrushes, and 2 children’s aprons. The cake paints are in a formed plastic casing with a clear lid that can be used as a palette. The brushes are in round, flat, and pointed designs, and aprons measure 15.5 by 25.5 inches. Some instructions are included.

~ Why ~
Having a degree in art, I usually paint with oils, but our 6-year old granddaughter loves to paint when she visits. I like the colors included in this set that should work for a beginner painter to understand mixing them. A plus is that this is a complete set that can be carried anywhere and used with water. The aprons are cute as they can be slipped over the head and have a center pocket on each of them.

~ Why Not ~
Some artists are very picky about the brand of paints they buy as some contain too much water or do not cover well. Others may wish there were more color choices and they could buy an even larger set.

~ Wish ~
I wish the items came in a box or carrier with a handle so everything could be contained inside it for storing or transport.

~ Want ~
If you are looking for an inexpensive and complete set of watercolor paints for a young artist, this one is a marvelous choice.
