This was a nice addition to my Xbox One System. This charges up my 2 controllers pretty quickly. I have not had any issues with running the batteries dead. All I do is switch from one controller to the other since I mostly play alone.
I like how you can see if the controller is on the chargeer or not by just looking at the lights on the front. Green is fully charged and red is charging.
