The rubber collars are helpful to clean all the various sizes of brushes I have. It is a bit hard to remove the brush from rubber collar after finished cleaning but I'm sure I'll find a easy way eventually! Overall, the battery life of the brush cleaner itself isn't that great! With brand new batteries put in, after about 2 brushes cleaned it begins to die...
