Easy to use out of the box. Don't forget to buy a memory card. It comes with an instruction book. Seems straight forward. I want a permanent hook up and not temporary so I have to have someone do it for me. However, if I I used wanted to do it myself I could. It connects to my phone internet. From my understanding I'll be able to see the footage from my phone. I'll find out this weekend. But so far it seems like a solid purchase.
