While most phones come with gps and maps, I do prefer to use a seperate device. I find when travelling in the cities, gps signal on mobile devices tend to 'get lost' when between many tall buildings, which is not helpful on busy roads! Used this to get to a friends engagement dinner in Montreal recently, it did not 'get lost' once, and got us there without issue. It is not something we need to use often, as we don't travel to the city much, but at least it will be there for future use. It also doubles as a media device, which is great as the kids can watch videos in the backseat on it when the gps is not needed. It actually looks like a tablet. Canada maps came already installed and updated. There are quite a few other features on it that we haven't had a chance to try yet!
