This backpack is very light weight and can be folded for storage. It store and take less space than any other backpack that I have had. It has gotten rained on a little and stayed dry but I don' know how it would do in a heavy downpour or if it was dropped in a creek or anything. My boys are all about bags and backpacks so at my house you can never have to many. Good quality not disappointed.
