Can't connect with bluetooth

After waiting quite a long time to receive this tiny speaker (about the size of a silver dollar), I was unable to connect using bluetooth. How else could it be wireless, as advertised? It came with no instructions and a port that is very dated. I could not find a cord to match. Therefore I have been unable as yet to even sample the sound it may or may not produce. Very disappointing.
