These STINK!

I will NOT be using these fake fall leaves for decorating this year.  I was excited to get a package that had 500 pieces in it, thinking I could use these to sprinkle around table tops, put in vases, and decopage on to things. They arrived in vacuum sealed stacks and looked great. I opened one of the packets to take them out and was horrified. The smell was absolutely horrible. I literally gagged and I have some pretty high tolerance to smells. It was one of the nastiest smells I have ever smelled! I had a horrible time peeling them apart from one another on the stack they were in but was able to pull them free to get pictures. They look okay, but feel and smell nasty. I thought maybe leaving them out might allow the smell to go away, so put them on a cookie sheet in the backyard overnight. The next day they were just as bad, if not worse. I honestly don't know what the smell was, but it is beyond words - definitely not just typical manufacturing smells that often cling to things after shipping.Sadly, these went in the trash rather than in the fall decorations tub in the garage. NOT going to keep that nastiness around, and not going to let the stench seep in to my other decorations to percolate in the hot garage the rest of summer. Definitely a waste of my money. Yuck!
