Neither my new desktop nor MacBook Pro has an optical media drive installed in them. I was going to install one in my Desktop, but I liked the look of just having fans to help keep it cooled. The problem is I still need to use a DVD from time to time, being an old game or software, I still use. I was happy to find this product as it fits a need I have from time to time.
