No clue how to use it

Years ago I had a student kick my foot and lost my toenail on my big toe. I have stubbed it and knocked it off numerous times since and struggle with ingrown toenails on it as a result. My kids occassionally have trouble with their toenails, too, so I thought I would try this ingrown toenail tool. I have no clue how to use it, though. There were no instructions with it and I can't seem to figure it out at all. But I have it in case we DO have trouble and want to spend the time trying to research it. It looks like some kind of torture device, though. I don't see us using it at all in the future.... Oh well.
