Interesting design, but not to my liking

I hate buying new disposable grinders every time we need a new salt or pepper shaker. I decided I needed to invest in some refillable grinders in order to save money for my family. I loved the look of this grinder and decided it would be a good addition to my kitchen tools. I have another set of refillable glass salt and pepper grinders, but it seems the grinder on the pepper mill is not working as good as it used to.   The grinder is teardrop shaped, made of plastic instead of glass like my other ones. There is no cap to put on the top to protect it from dust or other foreign objects falling in to it. I am not too happy with that fact, since we live in a high dust area and I am constantly having to dust and wipe things down. I really do not want those particles settling inside the long neck on this, though it IS a longer neck and smaller opening. The inside griding portion appears to be plastic, but is also ceramic which is designed to not rust, corrode, or break down. The bottom has a dust cap that can screw on easily, creating a nice, tight seal.   It is a lot smaller than the grinders I use currently, so I wonder how often it would need filling. It says it is adjustable for the size of the grind, but I don't see how to easily adjust it. The dust cap on the bottom is also where you put the herbs inside. You have to turn it upside down to fill it, and because it is a vase shape or teardrop shape, you can't set it up on its end. You have to hold it in one hand and fill with the other, making it not as convenient as grinders that stand on their own.   Because of all of this, and the orange and white coloring that I am not overly fond of, I don't know how much use this will get in our home. I think we will probably continue to use our current set until the grinder stops working entirely.
