This nifty little MP3 player is stepping up the game. Not only does it play music and audiobooks, but it also lets you view photos, videos, text documents, make voice memos, and even has a built-in pedometer! I don't think I've run across any other MP3 players that will do all that!
The audio quality is decent. You can listen via headphones or the built-in speaker. The speaker doesn't get loud enough for me, but it is loud enough for relatively normal noise levels. I am happy with the Bluetooth connectivity. I don't normally like to use wired headphones because I am always getting tangled up in the cord.
The screen is too small for my aging eyes to be able to enjoy watching movies, but it is still large enough to be able to tell what is going on. I'll still save my movies for viewing on my phone. The voice recorder isn't the best I've come across. Even from 6 inches away, it didn't seem to pick up my voice very well. It would work for personal voice memos, but I wouldn't use it for taking notes in class.
The pedometer was a nice idea, but it just doesn't work well for me. I could hold the player in my hand and tap it with a finger and a step would be registered. I even adjusted the step length and it still was just too sensitive.
The overall appearance is sleek and minimalistic. The navigation controls are rudimentary but sufficient. I'm so used to touch screens that it is a bit of an annoyance to have to use the keypad to scroll through my options. It's a nice size. It fits perfectly in my palm. If I had to use wired headphones, I could run with these comfortably. It does come with a hold for a lanyard strap, but it doesn't come with the actual lanyard.
