As you may have noticed I purposly put "" around the word Mini in the Title. I'm not complaining about the size, I know it takes space it fit that much technology inside that socket, but they can either not put the word Mini in the Description or leave dimensions (which may be on Amazon now) so the buyer knows it's not exactly small. It's about a 2" wide and an inch thick. I had a problem setting it up in "normal mode", in different sockets with different devices and no luck, my phone just would not find the socket. So I tried "AP Mode" and that worked. I have 2 smart lights and AP Mode setup is pretty much the same as setting those up. You follow the instructions to get the Socket to blink a certain way, then you go to settings in your phone, connect to it's Wi-Fi signal, then go back to the app and the setup will finish automactially. The first thing I tried to use it on was my TV. The socket is rated to handle 125v, my TV gives off 120v, so it is close to the limit but not over. Sadly the TV would power ono for a few seconds, or at least the light would come on, then it would dim out and go off. Pretty disappointed. The next and last thing I tried was a in-window dual fan, pretty powerful one. Also rated at 120v and it has been running off the same outlet as I tried the TV on, for over an hour now. There are a few neat features that this app has tho, my favorite so far is the "Countdown" function, which is basically a sleep timer for the Socket, cool. Then there is a repeatable scheduled ON/OFF feature too, for things that you turn on or off more reguarly. Works with my Echo Dot, connecting was easy as going into Alexa app and searching for it once it's setup. Not only can you talk to Alexa and ask it to turn off/on the socket, but in the app there is a voice control feature, also cool. Overall it's a a descent product, I HAD to give it 3 stars for the simple facts that it is, for some reason, more difficult to setup in Normal Mode than AP, and that, for whatever reason, it will not hold the power of my television which is the main reason I bought it. Pictures included show it plugged in and working, the light on the side is the on/off light and the fan is what it is powering.
