This is a very classy knife. The weight of it, the sheer size - these both make it very comfortable to use. It came already sharpened. The box that it comes in is padded and a very nice presentation if you were to buy this as a gift. This knife is far and above the quality of a similar looking one that you might find at walmart. I purchased this for my husband who does a lot of cooking, and yes, a lot of chopping. He says the knife glides through even raw meat cutlets like butter! Would highly recommend.
