protects from accidents

We help to care for my husband's elderly grandmother so I purchased this protector pad for the mattress in our guest room when she stays over with us. She sometimes has accidents during the night. When I lifted the mattress pad to see how well it performed...Perfect! The underside of the mattress pad was dry and of course so was the mattress. No staining, no transfer. I definitely recommend this mattress protector. I'm only washing it now for the first time, so I don't have an accurate assessment of the durability over time, but it certainly stands up to liquid. As a side note, it is almost like a thin terry cloth cover, soft, no noise or crunching. For those that like extra padding or fluffiness in a mattress pad.
