I had to find the plastic strip holding the battery closed and pull it out without being able to see the hat, but after I figured that part out I was able to control the multicolor light speed from flashing to stable and I just love this adorable winter hat. I don't know how I will get new batteries into this, because there is no hole, but I will worry about that for next year. I'm really happy to have this cheery hat for the holidays.
