I have chickens. These chickens forget where to nest now and then or I have new chickens to "train" where to lay and fake eggs like this come in handy for that purpose. Plastic eggs gete broken or knocked out of the nest since they are so lightweight that I love finding wooden eggs like these. They also help to train a chicken that likes to peck the eggs to stop. I guess hitting a wooden egg over and over with a beak can start to give the hen a headache!
