Black, Grey, White Perfection

My son is 100% a budding artist.  He would spend all his time drawing if he could.  Now that he has gotten older and even better with his drawings, I've noticed him doing better with coloring pencils and how hard or soft he colors things.  I took this to mean he was ready to step up his skills with an actual pencil set.  He had no idea that pencils came in different hardnesses and that shading was much easier when you had the proper materials..  He was also blown away by the fact that this one came with tipped erasers to make erasing tiny mistakes easier and that you could use magnets to manipulate the lead on the paper.
Right now we are still experimenting with how each of the pencils work in terms of the harder and softer leads and with the way the magnets are used to change things.  Of course the erasers and all get used too but not to the extent as the other items because we are in the very early stages of learning about how they all work and how they all work together.  He has picked it all up incredibly quickly and I think I probably could have gotten him the set sooner.  But, I'm also glad I waited because now he can fully understand the mechanics of how each works and why.
