this light works great to help with video and photography. It goes from a small stand with light to a giant 6ft floor light that can illuminate 3 different light colors ranging from bright white to soft yellow. Each light mode can be dimmed or brightened as needed, and adjusted to any angle. The reason for docking a star is that the base is twist lock and just moving the light can cause it to becom unlocked and the light to drop.
