~ What ~
Measuring 18 inches long and 7.5 inches wide and 2.8 inches tall, this professional paper cutter can cut through 10 pages of 20-pound paper. It has a 12.6 by 6-inch metal calibrated base plate, replaceable carbide blade, and an alignment grid with ruler. It comes in a cellophane bag without instructions.
~ Why ~
Since I have my business at home, I often have to cut business cards I make with my printer. The big heavy old-fashioned cutter works, but it has to be pulled out of a closet to access. I like that this cutter weighs only 2 pounds and is smaller than most cutters. There are plenty of measuring tools printed on the base to guide accurate cutting.
~ Why Not ~
Those who do not need a professional cutter will not be interested in this item. Some may not like that the blade can dull over time and needs replacement, but extra blades are available online. Others may think it only is for cutting stock paper, but it can be used for some posterboards, craft and scrapbook papers, and specialty papers.
~ Wish ~
While my other cutter uses the same type of round blade, I wish there were instructions on changing the blade in this unit.
~ Want ~
If you are looking for a compact, easy-to-store multi-use cutter, this is a keeper.
