Warm and well made

First I will say I am NOT a skier. I have never skied. And I honestly do not know if I want to ski. But I did want a pair of super warm, winter gloves that I can play in the snow with. We get absolutely NO snow in our area. Not even slushy rain! So these won't get a TON of use and I honestly cannot test them out and give an honest review of them with the snow. But I CAN make comments on how they look, how well they are made, and how they feel, which is what I planned to do when ordering them.   I always have a hard time finding gloves that fit me correctly. I knew these might not be the best fit for me since my fingers are so long and nothing ever fits right. But definitely be sure you read the measurement charts on the Amazon listing and then order one size up. I do wish I had ordered a larger size. I thought the medium would fit me, but it is a bit smaller than I would hope for. They do fit, but they are a little short on my fingers. They will work for me, though, since I only plan to wear them when we are out and about in the snow, which is not all that often!   From my limited knowledge of ski gloves, these seem to be well made. They are nice and thick, kushy and comfy, and feel like they are well insulated to keep your hands warm. I purposely spilled some liquid on them to see if it would sink through and was pleased that my hand stayed dry inside. They weren't so thick that I couldn't move and easily grasp things. I was able to move with them and do simple tasks, the best you can with gloves on.  I had no trouble putting them on or taking them off, which is good since I have kids and when you have little ones, you need to be able to do things easily and quickly.   I was impressed with the gloves overall. They had little clasps and connectors to keep them together so you don't lose them. They had little zippers with pouches on them, though I am not sure what you could fit in the small pouch, honestly. It was very small, not big enough to fit anything I can think of except maybe a key or chapstick. They also have a drawstring type of closing mechanism for the wrists, so you can lock them down on your wrists to keep the cold  and snow out.   I was a bit surprised to see the Amazon reviews, though. I saw a few that said the gloves were not good for keeping your hands warm. One said anything below 30 degrees was not good and their hands were cold. I could understand the one from Alaska that said they weren't warm enough, but the other suprised me. I felt they were nice and warm, my fingers and hands being toasty. But then again, I am already experiencing 70+ degree weather, so having cold hands is not something I can really experience with them. I guess I COULD go stand with my hands in the freezer for a little while to see if that helps, but it doesn't sound fun, so I think I will pass.   I am sure these gloves will work for me the way I need them to when I need them. I don't know when we will have the chance to get to the snow for me to really try them out, but at least I know I have them ready when that time comes. If you are looking for a pair of warm gloves for skiing or for playing in the snow, then you may want to find ones with better reviews for the cold. But if you are like me and only need something every now and then, this may work.
