Cute with an Up! Theme

I got this scrapbook by Southsun because my Mom recently got into scrapbooking and we’ve frequently had photo books made of our trips, so I figured this would be a more fun way to make the photo books ourselves! The scrapbook arrived on time to my house and the packaging was efficient and undamaged. The product was also undamaged. The scrapbook has a hard, cardboard cover. It seems reasonably sturdy, but I would obviously keep it away from the normal paper hazards, like water. That said, it held up well to normal page flipping and sliding on and off of my bookshelf.

The scrapbook itself is great, and this particular one comes with a bunch of different adds on materials as well. There are five postcards with various journey themes – they are each the same size and they are all a bit tinged, similar to a sepia theme although that isn’t quite the right comparison, some are brown tinted and others are gray. There are also stickers, cutouts, and pens to write in the book with as well as pen refills. All of these are nice touches, because it gives you the means to start working on the book right away as opposed to needing to buy the pens and supplies. The color for the pens are mostly lighter, pastel-like shades, but there are a few darker colors as well. It is also easy to add new pages, although important to note they are not standard size pages. The overall scrapbook has an Up! Theme and it comes with a few crafts to suit the theme.

Overall, I would rate this product with a 5 out of 5 stars. The book is lovely, almost exactly as pictured in the advertisement. Each of the pages are a bit thicker than an average sheet of paper and they look as though they will hold up well to pictures being added and frequent page turning! I love the pens, although the packaging on the pens was a bit out of touch with the rest of the scrap book.
