Superior Quality Bike Tail Light.... Makes Me Rethink Buying Items Sold as a Set.

Normally, I would buy a bike light set and not just a tail light but in this case, I only needed a tail light.... thus this purchase came about.  I'm glad I did purchase this bike tail light solo, not as a set.  It has now outlasted quite a few inexpensive tail lights on the other bike and the headlight this was intended to pair up with.  Perhaps with it being a single item to sell, there was more attention to detail given to it resulting in a better quality item?  This taillight is brighter than any I've previously owned and the rechargeable batteries last a long time.  I'll bring it in after use severral times before I actually have to re-charge it again.  The various modes work well and it was a simple install.  It is waterproof and although I've never left out in a complete downpour, it has been through light rain and a lot of dampness with absolutely no problem.  While it does cost more than picking up a Dollar Store light or buying a tail light/front light combo, I do think there is something to be said for spending a little more on a quality item with extra benefits such as rechargeable batteries and buying items seperate, rather than as a set.  It seems to me that this tail light has an overall better qulity than my previous LED bike tail lights which were part of a set.  This was my first time buying a good bike tail light on its own and it wont be the last.  I imagine this one is going to last awhile so I willl now buy a front light sepearate from a set and see if that is of equally superior quality.  If I find one for around the same price as this was, approx. $12.00, then it is absolutely worth it.  This has been one of my best purchases.  The packaging and presentation woould make it a very nice, ready to go Christmas gift as well!  And I was just reminded that there are a lot of uses for this type of bright LED light that pivots all aroumd and has an easy rubber, stretch latch.... apparently, someone has their eye on my bike light!!
