Cute but not durable

I got so many comments on how cute my yard looked at Easter this year. I had these put throughout the yard with plastic eggs spread out everywhere for a fun hunt for the 3 year old. It was absolutely adorable to look at! There were 8 adorable signs of different sizes in the package and plenty of stakes to use to stake them up. I was actually surpirsed at how large some of them were. Much bigger than I expected, and all in a nice storage box you can use to keep them in for keeping between holidays. But the stakes were not the most sturdy. We broke one or two of them trying to push them in to the ground. But it worked out since we had others we were able to pull from. We also ended up using tape across the back to hold them in place, too, since the cardboard pieces kept falling off of the stakes since it was slightly breezy. We had to keep going out and putting them back on, so finally broke out the electric tape and slapped some on the backs to hold them in place. Of course, that made for messy backs afterwards, but I wasn't too worried since we weren't taking pictures of our hunt from the back. We were able to pull them all up, take the stakes off, and store it all for use again next year. But we had to be sure to pull them up before our sprinklers came on since I was sure the signs wouldn't stand up to the water beating they would take and didn't want them to warp. We shall see how good they look next year when we pull them out again to decorate with. I was very happy with the look, but do wish they would have been a little more durable and made of waterproof material. Additional stakes and sticky would have helped, too. But otherwise they were super cute and added a nice touch to my holiday decorating.
