I like quality knives in my kitchen. I don't like to get knives that the handles are attached poorly. I don't want a knife that the handles become loose or split. This knife is a quality peice so that won't be a problem in the future. This seems like a durable, sustainable knife that will last for years. 

This knife was delivered in a gift box so if your buying for a house warming gift no worries. This knife seems well made. It doesn't seem heavy or bulky.
