Another good speaker

This review is almost identical to the other Shava night light and bluetooth speaker because they function exactly the same. The main difference between the two is that one is tall and cylindrical, while the other is short. This is the taller of the two.

We had no trouble pairing this up with our phones and tablets. It was easy to find and connected easily. We had no interference, no static, nothing out of the ordinary. It played any audio from my phone - whethr music or the baby's video camera audio as she played in her room. Unlike the shorter version, this one does have volume controls on the side that allow you to control things from the speaker as well as from your phone.   Just like with the shorter version, I was again disappointed at the volume on this, though. It works great if you want a small player that allows you to listen from your desk or bedroom, but it is not very loud. It won't work for us while the kids are swimming, and they often like to play music while doing chores like dishes or cleaning their room. It is not loud enough to be heard clearly over the water of the sink, but does work for cleaning their room. Even adjusting the volume from our phones didn't make it loud enough. It WOULD be good for background music while you are sitting outside chatting and enjoying the weather. And the light is a great bonus for nights outdoors.

The speaker is also a nightlight, or a lantern. It is touch controlled so you simply touch the top and it will turn on, adjust the lighting, and turn off. Again, just like the other similar version, I had a horrible time getting the colors to change. I could turn on the white light no problem and adjust it, but wasn't able to adjust the color very easily. I did it a few times, though. But I will say the light does make a nice one for when it is dark. It is not blinding, but is too bright for me to use as a night light. I would never be able to sleep with this on.

While it is a decent bluetooth speaker for smaller rooms and personal use, it is not something you will be able to use outdoors or with other noisy conditions. It was definitely easy to pair and use, but not as powerful as we would like and the lights are great. I do like this light/bluetooth and think we will get a lot of use from it and the ones like it that all came at the same time.
