I bought another bulb which did not want to connect so thought i would give this one a go. This one was easy turned the broadband to 2.4ghz and it connected within seconds. 

If your broadband is running on 5ghz make sure you change it, then connect the bulb, change your broadband back its as simple as that. 

With two teenage boys in the house i will be ordering more fed up of walking behind them turning lights off, prefer telling my Echo to do it
