I bought this for my friend to use on his guitar. It clips onto the guitar and the screen rotates so it can be seen from any angle. You have to scroll through various stringed instruments to find what you want - banjo, guitar ukulele etc. Once he'd found the guitar setting (took seconds) it was easy to tune. Helpfully for the real novice, it also displays the correct string number next to the note. It's very simple to use and has turned the hideous noise into something quite pleasant.
