Seem to work but slow

I decided to get this charger for my sisters iPhone 8 due to its restricted use for certain devices only. They have quiet few gadgets at home and her phone charger gets constantly taken by her 8 yo son to charge his "toys". My sister liked the whole concept of this charger, her son has no use for it therefore doesn't even touch it and it remains in the same spot where she left it. She also noted that it's convenient just to place her phone over it instead of having to constantly plug and unplug. 

She said it charges but slow, she couldn't tell how fast/slow it charges compared to plug in cords. I will update if and when she experiments with it. So let's see.

My husband has 2 of this kind of chargers and his charge fast and he thinks they are convenient as well. Why I don't use it too? I have Mophie case/ backup charger on my iPhone, I don't use my phone much other than calling and messaging therefore don't need to charge it as often.
