I have been wanting to pick up something to use on the boys' belts for some time, but haven't done it. I was excited to see this kit come available and immediatley ordered one. There are four pieces in the set, three of which I have never seen before. But then again I am not much of a leather worker, so I don't know all the tools you need to do things. Of course, we have wanted to experiment with more leather work, so this is just the start of our new collection of tools. I am sure a belt hole punch would be easier than using something like this with a mallet, but this is how I did it when I was younger and my dad had a craft tool like this. The four different pieces can be used with machinery or on their own like I have done. The prongs on each one increases - 1, 2, 4, or 6. They are 4mm in size. The tips are sharp, so use care when handling them. And they come coated in a rust proof oil that is quite messy, so be sure you are ready for it and wipe them clean before you attempt using them. I had no trouble using the single prong punch to make holes in belts and am sure the other pronged punches are just as good. But I haven't started using those ones yet as I have no clue what I need to do with them!
