I purchased these lights, along with a number of others from the same company, for my husband and his best friend, who are semi drivers. They were looking for light bars, but for less than we would have paid for one light bar made especially for a truck, I was able to get this light, plus a number of others. So many different options to choose from will allow them to position the lights in whatever manner works best for their rigs versus just going with one standard setup that might not work quite as well for them. The aluminum housing feels very durable, and, with them being rustproof, dustproof and waterproof, I am hoping that they will last for some time without issues. Of course, if they don't, there is an 18 month warranty on them, which is pretty nice. While I personally have not gotten to see the brightness on them, my husband was very happy with the lights, so I would venture to guess that they were bright enough to be useful on those long nights traveling cross country.
