Shade from the outside - kinda cool!

I wasn't sure what to think of this windshield cover when I got it. It is truly a winshield cover and not so much a sun shade. It goes on the outside of your vehicle and buckles on the inside before you shut the doors.  My husband has one similar to this for when the days get cold and he doesn't want to scrape ice off his windshield, but wanted something that was more reflective and blocked the sun's rays. So I picked this up for him to try.   It is made with four different layers - aluminum which reflects the sun, cotton fabrics to block the heat, a cotton layer to prevent cold and heat inside the car, as well as a black non-woven layer to protect your windshield when you have it on. Besides the cotton layers there is the aluminum foil and PE coating. It is 183x116 cm in size with straps that fold around and inside the vehicle to secure it in place.   For me, it is too much effort. But then again, I hate using the sun shades inside the car, too, because they take too much time to unfold, put up, take down, and fold up, plus storing them in my car which already has everything from the kids' closets and then some. Needless to say, I need something simpler and quicker than this for my needs. Good thing I park in the garage at home and when I am out, I am not gone long enough to really need it. And if I am, oh well. I deal. So I can safely say, this is NOT something I would want to use. But I didn't get it for me. I got it for my husband, so it is up to him to deal with. And he has no problem dealing with it, since he has already dealt with it during cooler months to prevent ice with his current windshield cover.   That said, it is well made and works exactly as intended.
