All you need to do is slide off the elastic band and Poof the butterfly house is 1/2 open .just pull the sides apart and the net hutch is complete. 5 of the 6 sides are a net mesh the 6th is plastic. There is a big zipper to give you access to the inside. The sides are held up wit ha flexable yet sturdy wire. And when you are done you can wash and set up to dry.
