It is amazing how fast kids grow out of shoes. Figuring out what size they wear is a pain. I always have to have their feet measured at the store when we go in to figure out how much they have grown and what size they are wearing when it is time to buy new shoes again. I have long wanted to get a sizer to keep on hand so I can easily determine shoe size for the kids. It would have been especially helpful when we had so many foster kids coming through our home. I kept a drawer full of spare shoes for them, but would typically have to go through the drawer and try on multiple pairs before finding some that fit. This would have made the process so much easier than holding up their foot to the bottom of the copious pairs in the drawer and then trying them on when I thought I found one that worked. But I am not happy with this sizer. It is not going to work for my needs. I need one with US sizes since I reside in the United States, not one with centimeters and CHN sizes. I don't want to do the math to convert and figure out how many centimenters correspond to what US size. Had I paid better attention when buying it, I wouldn't have picked it up in the first place. It is a thick plastic with the sizes listed on it clearly, with a slider that you move to the end of their toes to get the size. Then remove the foot and look at the number corresponding to where the slider is place. THEN figure out what it actually means in whatever country you are in - or buy one that corresponds to the sizing charts for your country, which is what I will be doing instead. Lesson learned - pay better attention when buying and don't just look at the picture and assume it works for your needs.
