Functional and Easy to Use

This Homoco ironing board cover will serve its purpose admirably. The package arrived in good condition, the cover was held in a plastic wrapping and was neatly folded. The product was undamaged at the time of arrival. It is definitely thicker than I anticipated, but that is not at all a bad thing and gives me some peace of mind about the longevity of the product. For $9.95 on Amazon, I think this product is definitely an affordable ironing board cover and it appears to be well-designed also. The listing also claims there is a two year money back guarantee, although obviously I have not had any cause to test that claim at this time.

The cover is a solid silvery grey color which is appropriate for its job although more functional than pretty. It is made up of several layers and fits easily onto a standard ironing board size. According to the listing, the pad has 3 layers to protect from the high temperatures that an iron can produce. When I tested it against my iron, which is a seven year old steam iron, it held up well and I did not see any signs of burning or discoloration on the surface of the fabric.

The elastic edges make this easy to attach and secure to the ironing board after you slid it on. It also makes it easy to remove as needed to wash the cover. The instructions on Amazon say not to tumble dry, bleach, or dry clean this product. I would suggest washing it standard and then allowing it to air dry although I am uncertain if that is what the product would recommend. The instructions tell us how not to clean it, but they do not give much advice on how to clean it.

All in all, this product earns a 4 out of 5 stars. It doesn’t lay flat quite as easily as I would like it too (likely because of the time spent folded in the package, but it works well and I have not had any issues with its functionality so far. It is not the best cover I have seen in terms of being decorative or pretty, but it functions well and it is definitely an affordable price. Besides, it is an ironing board cover. While the decorative ones are nice, I am happy as long as it serves its purpose well.
