fun in the snow or sand

This set of snow and ice molds come with 5 molds. We received 3 penguins and 2 teddy bears. The colors vary but we received 1 green, 1 purple and 1 dark blue penguin mold. We also received 1 yellow and 1 light blue teddy bear mold. The molds come individually wrapped in mesh bags so the set can be split up and given as 5 gifts to different children or break it up into smaller sets. The molds are made from a durable plastic. The molds are about 9 inches tall and about 6 1/2 inches wide. 

The molds fit together easily and have locking sliders on the sides. I put the two sides together and locked them in. I then started to pack the molds with snow we made with crushed ice. I made sure to keep packing the mold tightly as I was filling it. After I got the mold filled, I unlocked the sliders and was able to remove my shape. All the details transfer from the mold to the snow. These molds would be great to take to the beach or for use in a sand box or sand table. If using sand with the molds, the sand does need to be moist enough so that it will stick together and hold its shape.    

My daughter and I really like these snow and sand molds. We couldn't wait to try them out but the temperature is still in the upper 90s where we live and it is about an hour and a half drive to the beach so we crushed up some ice to test them out. They were easy to assemble and really easy to use. We had lots of fun playing with these molds.
