We were really surprised how much light comes from a 10 watt floodlight. We were thinking that we were going to need a light much higher in wattage, but we were wrong. This little light doea everything we need: we set it up to only work after dark and then only when someone walks into the path of the motion sensor. It is really pretty reliable, though a big dog wandering through the yard can trigger it as well.
We use it on our backyard, and it does the job quite well, while only drawing a little more than a nightlight. We are very happy with it.
