dimmable lights without the expensive wiring

I installed smart plugs in our bedroom to control the lamps on our bedside tables but my husband is very reluctant to use that technology. He says he feels silly talking to a lamp. I thought that these remote-controlled bulbs would be better suited for him to use. He has no problems using a remote. Two bulbs come in this kit along with a remote control that can dim the lights to three different brightness levels and it also has a timer which will automatically turn the lights off after 5. 10. 30 or 60 minutes. He can press the timer to turn the lights out if he happens to fall asleep while watching tv or after he gets dressed to leave for work. 

The remote’s base is magnetic so the remote will not fall out if it is mounted vertically on a wall or surface. We can have a way to dim the lights without needing special lamps or wiring. The remote can control up to 6 bulbs (additional bulbs can be purchased separately) and has a range of up to 165 feet. The bulbs are 6 Watts LED which is equivalent to the brightness of a standard 60-watt bulb but uses much less energy. These bulbs stay cool to the touch. I was shocked that there was no heat emitted by these bulbs even after being steadily on for hours. I touched them with my bare hands and I felt no warmth at all. My husband loves the simplicity of the remote and I love the ability to dim the lights when I want.
