I have 2 girls and I have purchased amber necklaces and bracelets for them when they were babies. It's not fun for the baby or me when that are teething, neither of us can get any sleep and rest and constantly madicating them with teething tablets and gel wasn't an option for me. So thats how I ended up getting amber necklaces for my kids. To be honest I cannot tell 100% if it's effective but I do believe in natural and healing powers our mother earth offers. And if it has been noted for centuries to help babies with teething then one must be a fool not to try. The only thing is to be questioned is authencity of the amber. And the way you check it is to place it in a salt water and if it's real it will float and fake one will drop to the bottom.
Now that I am expecting another baby I stock up on all the necessary stuff and amber necklace was one of the things on my check list. I could use the one my oldest used to wear but I prefer each and everyone of then have their own.
This set was eye catching and standing out from others with its presentation so I bought it. I was not disappointed when I received it, everything looked exactly like pictured and advertised. It's a truly beautiful set that one won't be ashamed to gift it. And I will most certainly get another set as a gift for someone with babies. Necklace itself is beautiful and seems well made, it has a strong screw on clasp and between each bead there is a knot to prevent from bead falling off and kid putting them in their mouth.
I have seen many complains about amber teething necklaces angry mothers post on numerous sites and most of them simply wrong. The main issue is that they think since it's called a teething necklace then it supposed to go into kids mouth and the necklace is too short for that purpose, and others complain kid chewing on it and choking on a bead. No that's wrong. It's not meant to be in kids mouth. It's simply being worn as a piece jewelry.
Truly a beautiful piece and recommend trying.
