The build quality of the lavalier microphone is good and does not feel cheap. Also, the clamp is really strong and will not fall off when clipped to your shirt.
I was surprised by how good the voice quality it picks up. However, to reduce background noise it needs to be used with a better recorder and the included foam cover helps. Also, you can clip it under the shirt which is a good way to reduce the noise.
The microphone is also good for 360 degree recording. However, it is much better for voice recording.
Packaging:
• The microphone with the a hard case came in a bag (the hard case is the retail package).
Pros:
• Has a good build quality that does not feel cheap.
• Picks up the voice really good and might even be better than some expensive microphones.
• Has a strong clip on clamp that will not fall off from your shirt and a good cable length (approximately 5 feet).
• The microphone is good for recording sound with a full 360 degree coverage.
Cons:
• The high sensitivity microphone could cause clipping which can be controlled with software (only tested on a smartphone with a default voice recorder and this might not be a con because this is an omni-directional microphone)
• Might not work on PC that has separate microphone and headphone jack. However, this might not be a con because it has TRRS plug which mainly used with with portable recorders or mobile devices.
Comments and/or Suggestions:
• The voice recordings sound surprisingly good and might be even better than more expensive mics. When using under a shirt, the noise reduction is great.
Bottom line: Overall, a good microphone with high sensitivity that picks up the voice really well with a surprisingly good quality.
