Roadwi Original Ecology Hi-Fi Super Deep Bass Stereo Wood Headphones

Tested With:

Galaxy S8 via DoubleTwist Pro Player

Julien Baker – Over (lossless FLAC file) S U R V I V E - Cutthroat (Lena Willikens Remix) (lossless FLAC file) Grace VanderWaal - Just A Crush (lossless FLAC file) Barenaked Ladies - The Old Apartment (lossless FLAC file) U2 - One  (Remastered (lossless FLAC file)

First off, these look awesome. Made from a dark wood with black and gold trim they appear to be premium earphones, and the nylon anti-tangle cable only adds to this first impression. They come packaged in a compact box with three sizes of earphone tip so you should easily find a snug fit. The earphones also have a mic and remote on the right earphone cable so they are perfect for mobile phones (only tested on an Android device so cannot comment on Apple compatibility).

Sound wise they deliver a lot of bang for your buck. They definitely deliver o their name – ‘Super Deep Bass’ – but this doesn’t seem to overpower the mids and highs. Barenaked Ladies are predominantly known for their vocals and these shine through, never getting drowned out by the music. Likewise, the electronic instrumentation of S U R V I V E is distinctly separated with little to no blending together of the sounds into an inorganic mash like some earphones can do.

The build quality is superior with excellent strain relief. The earbuds themselves feel sturdy and strong and should last the rigours of the daily commute.

In all, a superior set of earphones that I can heartily recommend to anybody serious about their mobile music.
