I bought this for .y grandson's new iPhone 8 to charge it without plugging it in, wearing out the port. It works perfectly fine. Not having an adapter was not an issue, as we used the plug and adapter that actually came with the phone. I'm very satisfied. I like that the phone is standing up so my grandson can check the time without having to take it off the charging pad.
