Great lights for 12 volt security system

This is a pair of 10-watt LED floodlights, suitable for landscaping lighting and for emergency security lighting. They are warm-white color and have light output of 900 lumens (about the same as a 60-watt incandescent floodlight). They operate on 12 volts, either DC (battery) or AC. They should not be plugged directly into house current, if operated on AC, they need a transformer like landscaping lights are equipped with. They can be added to your 12 volt outdoor lighting system, providing the power supply for your lights is sufficient.

They are IP65 waterproof, which means weatherproof. They should not be submerged in water though they will survive rain, snow, etc.

They come with both surface-mount brackets and with lawn spikes, depending on your use. They draw about 1 amp at 12 volts and should be fused for safety. I would recommend 2 amp fuses so power surges don't cotinually blow fuses.

We will be using them as security lighting on our solar-charged 12 volt battery system. They will provide lighting even during power outages.
