Looks nice but...

This timer looks nice with its stainless steel appearance in the shape of an egg but, unfortunately, the timer did not work. I went on the Amazon page for further instructions on how to set timer (which was confusing and made no sense) so I followed directions exactly and although you can hear the timer ticking away, when the timer reached the zero mark, it did not ding nor did it even stop ticking. It just kept on ticking, passing the zero mark by several minutes until eventually it did stop ticking but no ding at the end. Also, the ticking isn't at an even pace. Sometimes the ticking was super fast and then sometimes, it was very slow...so even if this timer did go off at the zero mark, my food would be burned or under-cooked due to the uneven ticking pace. I gave this 2 stars because it looks very nice. At this point, I am only keeping it as a decorative piece on my kitchen floating shelves.
