Can't Wait to Take Pix!!!

My son BEGGED me for a fish lens for his phone for what seemed like forever, and when I finally got a nice set like this in, he immediately stole it for himself. Since then he has lost pieces or broken things, so it is no longer able to be used, so he has begun asking me once again if I could pick up a new one for him that he will try to take better care of. I figured I might as well, now that he is a little older and not doing the skateboarding he was doing before that resulted in so many broken or lost pieces.

This is a great little set for an amazing price. The first set we had only came with three lenses, but this set comes with five and is not much different in price! I was impressed that you can get all five lenses plus the clip to attach them to any phone, iPhone or Android, for less than $20 and have them work as well as they do. I thought perhaps the quality might not be as high as more expensive lenses or professional photography tools (and it probably isn't, in all honesty), but I have been very pleased with what I have seen and all the pictures I have taken with them. I have not had any trouble with the quality of the pictures and my son has taken some that are even better.

The five different lenses you get in this set include: 2X telephoto lens, circular polarized lens (CPL), 198 degree fisheye lens,15X macro lens and 0.63X wide angle lens.

The lenses all come with a cap on one side, allowing you to keep the lens completely clean and protected when not being used. You can easily twist it in to the clip to hold it place. The clip opens when you squeeze the levers and slides over the phone, attaching securely in place. I have had no slipping or movement when attaching or using it. I have even had good success attaching it over the top of the wallet case I have on my phone. I was afraid I would have to remove the case to use it, but was happy to find that was not true - the clip does spread wide enough to go around case AND phone. And it worked fine with the case and without.

Unlike our previous set, this one comes with its own carrying case. It is a hardback zippered case that has slots in it for each individual piece, including the clip. There should be no reason to lose things or misplace them, and definitely no reason for them to become damaged from rolling around in your backpack. It also has a carabiner on the top that allows you to attach it to your backpack or beltloop for quick access. I would suggest replacing the carabiner with a better one, though. This one is a bit weak and flimsy and you don't want to lose things.

This has been a wonderful kit and one I am very pleased with. It has a lot to offer for a low price and is the perfect gift for the beginning photographer.
