I really liked the look of these shelves but they are really confusing to put together. 

There were instructions.. but it just listed how many pieces, and didn't show which way they went. At first I had the fabric on the wrong sides because I didn't know that there were two different types with different widths. I almost threw the whole thing in the garbage. 

One I got it together, I realized moving it made the metal bars pop out of the plastic. Not a good thing. Its such a shoddy fit that adding actual weight to them is just not a good idea. They would be fine for stuffed animals or maybe putting a few t-shirts on each shelf, but anything more than that... not a good idea.
